We will fly

Circles are, if you will, the symbols of absolute perfection, "the perfect, first, most beautiful forms" according to Aristotle. But perfection is out of our reach, and yet there is a boy, who strives to achieve it, realizing only after that what is really beautiful is what is really "real". So this ideal of perfection, which actually belongs to an ideal world, is just a faraway goal, too faraway for his immanent possibilities. I view this picture as the capture of a very important moment, the moment of realisation. He looks out of the window, towards the real world, towards his future, embraces the value of affection, next to a young human being just like him. And in this lyrical contemplation, the circle of perfection breakes, its profile is altered by the innocence of two children, together.
